only ace would greet his friend like this . a normal response would be ‘ oh shit , you made it here too ! ’ or ‘ it’s great to see a familiar face ! ’ , but ace was never going to act too out of character just because of where they were . if he was too nice , well , he thought about it and the idea honestly kind of creeped him out .
there is a loud sigh from him , moving to sit next to them . despite the fuss he made , he didn’t seem to hesitate in sitting down . now would be the time to say he’s happy to see them ( which he really is ) and that he’s glad they are safe . for a moment , he considers it too - yuu is one of his best friends after all . but , when he opens his mouth he says --
“ don’t you hate all the sand getting in your clothes ?! it’s the worst ... it never leaves . ”
