“Woah, okay,” Incredibly hesitant in his movements, Alistair perched himself a small distance away from the female as he eventually sat down upon the arm of the couch. “I -- look, not that I don’t appreciate you showing up, it’s a kind-of nice gesture I guess, that you’re here ‘checking up on me’.” Saying the words aloud honestly had him believing it even less than he already did. “But -- you really should not be here.” The male glanced over his shoulder, back toward the front door of his apartment; almost as if he was scared his current girlfriend could stroll back in at any moment. She was out for the night, so obviously she wouldn't, but -- Alistair couldn't help but be jumpy. The girl now sitting on his couch made him jumpy. “My girlfriend’s insecure enough about us as it is, and it doesn't exactly help when it’s been over six months since you dumped my ass, and you’re still showing up out of the blue.”
