while yuta giggles at the groupchatβs messages, something catches his eye. he notices a man with pink hair and the descriptions you had previously mentioned, recognizing him now as yuji. yuta abruptly scrambles out his chair and tries to catch up with the man.
heβs out of breath by the time he finally reaches him, panting with his hands to his knees. yuji hears heavy breathing behind him and turns around.
βyo? you okay man?β he questions and yuta nods, holding his pointer finger out to take some time to recover. once he earns his voice back he says, βhi, i have an odd request.β
yuji tilts his head, but waits for the odd part. yuta asks him for his number, not for him of course, but to give to a friend, you. to his relief, yuji smiles and happily hands over his number without a fight. in his mind heβs thinking, βwow that was easier than i thought.β
they say their goodbyes and head off in separate directions. time passes and it takes a moment for it to kick in for yuta that he had just gotten yuji itadoriβs number. yuji wasnβt that popular at the school but he certainly wasnβt unknown. realizing this, he quickly rushes to text the groupchat again.
