@neverendingparable you can @ your partner like this at the start of a thread so they can find it in their notifs or you can send them this post. If you have an idea you both agreed on, you can just jump right into it.
Maybe my character is minding their own business when they see your character doing something weird. Or they run into each other, or perhaps they already know one another and mine is seeking yours out.
"I usually write dialogue like this, although others might prefer a different font or simple italics. Some people assign colors for their muses so they might speak like this!" But it really depends on your own personal style.
