We met in a clubhouse in the middle of town. I knew I was at the right place by the photo in the window. So symbolic. This set the tone for the rest of the night.

We were mothers and daughters. Friends and sisters. Women eagerly waiting to contribute, willing to show up.

My favorite quote from the night was by a young lady who was grateful for the exposure of racism and sexism and hate. A feeling that none of us could relate to off the bat. But then she changed all of our hearts when she said she wanted to "face it so she could change it". Yes! That's exactly what we are going to do.

Hello! We are so glad you’re here!

Today is the day following the historic women’s march and there is still so much to do! Our work is far from done! Here at Your Nation Too, we will be having some pretty controversial conversations. If that’s not for you, that’s okay. Just click the x in the right top hand corner and move on. However, if you’re looking for a way to get involved and make a difference in our very divided country then stay and read awhile.

 If you’re anything like us, the current state of our nation is quite worrisome. It feels like instead of moving forward we are actually moving backwards. Our goal for this blog is to address issues of social injustice and inequality through the use of education and social justice promotion. We will also try to get some awesome guest bloggers to come on and share their thoughts on some pretty deep stuff.

 Like our name says this is Your Nation Too. Now, is the time to come together and work for social reform. Only together do we have a chance of creating an America that works for everybody regardless of skin color, gender, sex, religion, sexual orientation or ability.
