my ideal post retirement shane and ilya start a hockey podcast together. i like to imagine they bicker and snipe at each other the whole time a la basement yard podcast and the fans love it. shane gets to let out his bitchy side a little and ilya loves to indulge him. they dont hold back with their opinions on teams and players and shane always brutally rips apart anyone who makes a mistake. half the time they go off on a tagent unrelated to hockey but it doesnt even matter because theyre doing this for fun and dont need to worry about pleasing sponsers or whatever cause they finance it themselves. mostly i just need ilya to same some insane shit and shane to just blankly stare at him
