Birthdays are a natural point of reflection in life, a constant moment each year to look back, and to look ahead. This year, in my contemplating, I've realized that there are things I've always wanted to do but haven't because the timing "wasn't right". I also realized that if I keep waiting for the right moment, I'll never do anything. So, I've decided to stop waiting. I made a list of 30 things that I want to do for myself before I turn 30 two years from now. These aren't earth shattering things. They might seem silly or selfish or pointless to others, but that's the point. I want to choose me. I'm choosing my happiness. I hope I learn some things along the way about myself, about life. I plan to chronicle my progress here using #yourenotlost It's something my grandfather always said, usually when we didn't know where we were, but for me it means more than that. For me, it means that no matter how differently I expected things to go, the important thing is that I'm exploring. So, this is me, choosing a road and seeing where it leads, because, as he always said, every road leads somewhere. #birthday #selfie #30before30
