Fili opened his door to find a small baby sitting on their step. Looking around he quickly picked up the small bundle, looking at it closely. He thought it was a boy but he wasn’t sure. Who could have left a baby here?!

Buried under a pile of blankets, blonde hair just visible, lay the heir of Durin. The loud sound of the front door caused him to wake. Blue eyes opening, he pushed the blankets off of him and sat up. The first thing he noticed was the way his tunic was pooling around him. Lifting the red fabric up, eyes widening he looked at his small hands as they gripped the fabric.
