Time to Level Up!
It’s been a year since YouNation’s last post and I can’t help but feel guilty. The truth is that this blog is a safe zone to express everything that stimulates us, and I’ve been avoiding it. I left a year ago and expected nobody to notice, while subconsciously avoiding passions that keep me sane in this world.
Recently I’ve been thinking a lot on what my mom told me after I graduated from Temple University, she said “Mike you need to realize when to close a chapter in life and move on.” At the time she couldn’t have been more on-point because I almost fell victim to the endless service industry trap after college. Since then I’ve always asked myself if today is the day to end a chapter in life, and by doing this I’ve kept my mind focused on change through progression.
If you have followed YouNation from the beginning you probably know me personally and have seen YouNation transform as I’ve taken on different projects. Today that transformation continues and we evolve together. YouNation is no longer just a place to celebrate other’s creativity but will now showcase various projects that I have personally created, as well as some of the amazing things my friends in the industry are working on as well.
My dream is to one day take all the talent around me and house it somewhere special. Maybe a company where those who appreciate what we do can brainstorm with us and collaborate with us to create inspirational projects for the world to remember. So its time to LEVEL-UP! It’s time to close a chapter and begin a new one. It’s time for YouNation to mature (just a little bit) and begin celebrating some close to home accomplishments so we can all get back to (better) business.
