ãEXPENSIVE CONVERSATIONSã
6:47 PM; after work. Another day of 'pounding the pavement' and listening to Dojima's suspicious ramblings over who the killer could and couldn't be. He swore up and down that he'd heard too much of the old man's prolix outward thoughts; well over enough to go mad. It was nearly a chore to not throw his arms up and shout, "it was me, dammit!" Whilst Adachi appreciated his game of cat and mouse for the pure entertainment it was and would relish in the miscalculations, worries, and hopeless chasing of everyone else, his justice-driven partner would find a way to irritate him down to the core over the whole matter. Of course, there would still be those little moments where Dojima's endless hypothesizing would give the crooked detective a feeling of satisfactory. His partner just had a way of surprising him through all that calculating.
However, this was his time now. His time to keep to himself and not worry over having to entertain others with needless conversation or chase after a criminal that's been two steps ahead, yet always walking in the same stride as he and his partner. Soon enough he'd be home and alone; and he could stop pretending for a little while. As for now, he'd quietly gather the things he needed from the convenient stop on the way home; Junes. Every time he'd enter the building he'd always imagine Nanako singing along to the commercial with merriment. That kid was something else, how she always smiled the way she did.
Upon entering another isle way, Adachi's sight scanned the shelves for his item of desire. On finding it, he took the nearest box for his own and tossed into the basket occupying his other hand and continued on his way. Exiting the isle, his eyes settled upon the familiar features of one of the Inaba scooby doo gang. Ah, crap! He'd quickly advert his eyes and peer forward to see if he was noticed. He was. Lady luck was a stupid bitch. Concerning the continuance of his facade, the detective approached the other and gave a leisurely wave.Â
ãHey there, Hanamura. You working today?ã
