THE ACOLYTE | 1X01 & 1X02
Yord from The Acolyte
Qimir yelling "Bortles!" While effortlessly hurling Jedi through the air with the force
My literal husband!! I can not stress how obsessed I am with him~💋
Anyway anyone want to discuss the acolyte? Or send in some yandere requests? Last night's episode was fun!! Although I think I know who the sith lord (or atleast his actor) is😉

behind the scenes goofing
Never been a Star Wars person but I’m watching the acolyte and I love how different the twists in the show have been from what you’d normally expect.
With Osha’s deflection of what she does in her free time and Indara’s murder the obvious clue is that she did it, and when Yord comes in it makes perfect sense.
But then Osha is just… confused? And hurt? And upset that Yord, who knew her six years ago, whom she’s catching up with as you would with an old friend (noting that he graduated from Padawan to full-fledged Jedi), you want to believe that it’s an act.
She’s captured, she’s taken prisoner and it fits, everything fits. Then she doesn’t use the Force or escape and helps the other prisoner only to get betrayed and left for the dead.
The pieces don’t align, until the twin comes along. And then it fits so so well.
Because instead of the Jedi not believing in her and the story becoming her proving her innocence, the first person who really listens to her believes her. And then the rest of the council believes her too.
Suddenly the show isn’t about her righteous path to innocence and freedom, it’s the story of two sisters separated a long time ago, each believing the other was dead, now set on two opposing paths destined to collide once more.
It’s about the parallels of Osha and Mae and how the smallest difference in the past could have entirely inverted their lives and how the survival of one resides on the destruction of another.
It’s about the doom of a relationship between sisters. That’s fucking fascinating.
First Meeting Yord Fandar Headcanons
He has enraptured me mind body and soul. So I must provide and get the ball rolling.
● Yord does not take well to being tempted away from path. He never thought himself one to stray from it and takes that incredibly seriously. Which is why meeting you upsets him so much. Somehow in the matter of minutes you near single handedly undid years of restraint and will he had built up for himself.
● Because of this he almost has no choice but to be mean to you. Maybe not exactly mean but you very quickly right away get the feeling that the Jedi must dislike you. You're not sure why. Especially since it seemed so sudden, one moment he was gazing at you with a look in his eye that could only bring you in. The next he was suddenly standing taller and asking if you'd seen a suspicious individual pass. He spoke so snappishly you almost assumed you had upset him.
● This was very much not the case. At least not in the way you thought. He was upset. Almost furious even. But less at you and more completely baffled by himself. How had this happened so easily? Why was he suddenly acting this way? It was like years of training disappeared with just one tilt of your head.
● You were left floundering wondering if the Jedi suspected you or was feeling unwell. And just as quickly as he appeared he was gone. Nodding his head and wishing a fast "Good day-" heading in a random direction and not the one he previously was.
● You thought you would never see him again. Afterall Coruscant was a very large planet it was almost impossible to randomly cross paths twice. And yet you did. Almost like fate. And much to the Jedi's annoyance. When you called out to politely ask if the suspect had been apprehended,
"Any luck?"
● He span around so quickly something was almost knocked over. A jedi? Knocking something over? It was so silly to see you nearly didn't notice, but your reflexes were fast and you reached to catch it as he also did.
● Noticeably he did not use the Force right away. His mind so distracted and muddled by you he started to move to catch the falling crate before catching himself. It all happened so fast you didn't see the expression of embarrassment and shock on his own face. The box halted in midair and he was quick to move it back, leaving you awkwardly dangling having been ready to save it. "Um. Nice catch."
"Thanks-" He quickly corrected himself regaining composure and speaking with more manners and a nod of his head. He wanted to be blunt as he had the first time he saw you but frankly, that made him feel bad. Which was silly, restraint shouldn't feel bad in itself of course not. But the look in your eyes when he stopped whatever shared gaze you both had, left an image he couldn't shake.
"Well. Thank you."
● If you didn't know better you'd say the Jedi's face was getting warm but that would have been silly. Jedi didn't get embarrassed. "So did you find them..." you trailed off having not gotten his name.
"Yord. And yes. They were apprehended yesterday and are now in our custody."
He said unable to help himself from standing up just a little taller with pride. You nodded acknowledging his name and liking how it sounded while studying his handsome frame,
"One less bad person on the street?"
A small polite but warm grin crossed his face at the notion.
"That is the idea. For the safety of all."
● After the encounter he would once again pull himself away. He hoped to never see you again as cruel as that seemed. But fate was not kind of his selfishness and soon he found himself unable to stop crossing your way. And having to at least ask your name. It was only polite after all.
