One of my top ten horror games. What is up with horror rpgs being so damn good? Fear & Hunger, Omori- Now this and OFF. I'm drowning in good horror. This game blew my mind. It's genius, its messaging is though-provoking, its gameplay stressful but painstakingly intriguing. The characters and humor are amazing. And the boss fights-

I know what you're thinking. Another Gacha? I know... Im sorry too... But I'm in deep as an f2p and I have to keep hoping that this game will grow a global fanbase as feral as I am for this game.

Picked this up on a whim one day, and became hooked. Not intrigued, hooked. I mean playing this game until the sun came up because I lost track of time hooked, not because of gambling, I don't think I ever rarely pull. I play for this story. The drama. The doomed lesbians. The death?! This is a stunning visual novel hidden underneath a turn-based gacha.

(The gameplay is fun too I guess)

Kabuto Park

Cozy, bug-catching game where you go around a park challenging children to beetle battles. It's an incredibly cute game, very relaxing, can get oddly competitive, and has a lovely catch them all no worries kind of vibe.

This game is too funny to be as unrecognized as it is. If you like linguistic puzzles this game is easily your next game of the year. You play a character in this tower of babel-like environment trying to get through it again and again as language continues to change. You start knowing nothing, and slowly uncover the truth in people's bizarre words.

Have you ever wanted subnautica to be scarier, more difficult, and to play with friends who are more likely to kill you than the ancient horrors of the deep for the sake of the bit? Your answer is Barotrauma. A sort of 2D deep sea space-sub survival horror, where you and a crew of friends try to complete missions without sinking to god only knows where.

Have a Nice Death

I surprisingly liked Have A Nice Death. I didn't initially think I'd like it as a roguelike, because I was very guarded when it came to games in the genre, especially with the metroidvania take, to meet my high expectations now. I mean these games have to keep the attentions of players who played games like Dead Cells, Rain World, Hollow Knight, and Hyper Light Drifter

The gameplay is incredibly smooth, I liked the hades-style take on the weapons, the humor was of course very morbid and existentially refreshing. The bosses were good challenges, and I liked the re-playability in exploration of this take on the underworld. The atmosphere was very dark, workcore, and super well animated.

Here me out. Turn based fighting game. How does that even work? I asked that very question myself, and I still don't know how to describe it. Really only looking up a YOMIH video and seeing the eye-bleeding action packed clips will only make you more confused. This is a good game for the patient, stickman lovers, and mod hoarders.

(But can it beat cowboy?)

Fallen A.C.E.S.

It's still in beta, but if you're an FPS enthusiast and wanted to support the same publishing team behind Ultrakill, you must check out Fallen ACES. It's pokes fun at everything vintage all at once, while providing a batshit insane storyline and insane combat. I will admit though it's a difficult adjustment to get used to the combat style, but mesmerizing once you figure it out.
