Of all places to expect animatronics, this clean high school was certainly not on that list. And such odd designs too, this particular one looks about four hours out of place here. 

But hey, Byakuya was quietly curious about these things ever since he arrived here. It would’ve been easier to investigate if not how obnoxious the largest, black mascot was. And don’t get him started about that rabbit. 

Instead, a chance rose as he stared down this smaller striped mascot who interrupted him with emails on the phone just outside the main entrance. 

“Keep up with that useless muttering, and I’ll leave you here on purpose.”

Maybe. Rantarou’s lucky that Byakuya’s only considering to follow through with that from a more promising mood a few minutes ago; as he makes his way into not the main street that still hold footprints of the other students, but rather the more narrow streets as the first steps into the city. 

“Oh, of course. That holiday is approaching. No wonder it’s been quiet around here.”

That did it. There wasn’t a break in that smile of his as Byakuya steps past the short animatronic.

“Where else? The Lost Castle, only about 45 minutes by train from here. I’m sure your ‘pops’ will be fine with travelling there in the evening.”

And with a one-handed shrug and a more mischievous glint down to the bear.

“And if not, why would that stop you from discovering new?”

“As the SHSL Ghost Operator, I will be tonight’s entertainment.”
