Post-timeskip, that rule's definitely been breached more than once. Monet and Vergo are prime examples.

ohohoho, but we don’t actually know if Vergo and Monet are dead. for years, everyone thought Bellamy was dead, and then he turned up just fine in Dressrosa. so, yeah, until something is said explicitly, i refuse to think Monet and Vergo are dead

I would personally refrain from using In the Rhythm together with That’s the Stuff these days. It used to be that you were healed immediately for the damage you dealt, but now the healing only comes in when Minigun’s effect ends. And with In the Rhythm extending the duration, it gradually becomes pretty anti-synergy, putting you more at risk of dying in a team-fight.

Yeah, it is a big risk but it’s also fun. There’s something viscerally satisfying about going through a heavy trade with two other heroes and then getting 50% of your HP back in a single swoop. That said, I sure don’t blame you; I definitely wouldn’t do it in a tenser or more serious match.
