if thereâs one thing kiha isnât, itâs a fighter.
tw: violence, blood
sure, he likes mischievous more than the next person, loves playing games with our peoples lives but heâs smart enough to get out fast enough before getting caught. heâs spent the last few hundred years playing the same games that heâs almost always right about how things will turn out. but the problem is that almost always isnât all of the time. hence the situation heâs gotten himself into now.
when he had thought through most of the possibilities of the night, he hadnât accounted for ending up on someoneâs shitlist. the club is full of humans, the music loud and the drinks overflowing. he had figured he would spend the night feeding, dancing, and retire home sated and safe. so he hadnât noticed the change in club staff nor the smirk on the bartenders face when he ordered another drink to blend in.
but as he turns to head back into the crowd, the weight of another person colliding with him catches him off guard. he stumbles, spilling his drink over his hand and a bit on his shirt. it distracts him, long enough to not notice the glint of metal until itâs swiping at his side. the pain is instant, the vervain causing his skin to burn. he lets out a sound of pain before shoving the hunter back with a punch to the stomach.
he runs, managing to slip out the back door only to be caught by another hunter waiting in the alleyway for him. heâs not sure if heâs just lucky or the hunter is just an idiot, but thereâs a second swipe of a blade, this time at his shoulder. but this time thereâs no stinging over vervain, no pain from silver, just the cut of a normal blade that barely effects him. another shove to the hunter and he wraps himself in shadows and he runs.
the streets all start to look the same in the darkness as kiha darts down sidestreets and alleyways. the stinging his side makes him shaky and slow, the shadows dropping away like a child climbing out from underneath a sheet. the pain is too much for him, too intense, and he falls to the floor of the alley, curls up as close to the wall as he can get.
breathing heavily, kiha laughs to himself. itâs been years since anyoneâs managed to get this close to him, to have him in this much pain and sure that the next time he sees someone itâll be his last. unable and unwilling to move, his eyes fall close as he shudders and waits for whatâs to next to come.
