Hello everyone, just wanted to tell you I've been testing some more things this time in Yo-Kai Watch 2, and I wanted to try to link both versions, because I have been wanting to do it for some time really but anyways, and so for personal reasons I've gotten the AUS version of Fleshy Souls to try to link it up with my Psychic Specters version, here are the results:
So first things first, let's say what we have. I have an AUS digital copy of FS, version 2.0 (after-update) and an EUR physical copy of PS version 2.0.
So first I tried it normally, I put Link Alone in my FS copy, save the data, and go to my PS copy and to San Fantastico, but nothing, then I try it again but this time I also save the data in my PS copy, just in case I didn't understand it correctly, still nothing. But then I remembered that it needed to be less than 2 hours apart, and so I also remembered that if you time travel using GodMode9 your friends list gets strange, like you really are for example 2 days in the future compared to the others, so I tried to put it like the real date and hour and tried it once more but nothing happened. I have been reading a lot of articles and some say that it's region-locked, hopefully, and in others they also say that digital and physical are compatible, and also that they both need to be on version 2.0, latest version. So I've got no other idea why I doesn't work. I don't know why I am pretty sure it actually is region-locked for some reason, but I can't prove it, because the AUS version is unfortunately the only one I have access to right now. The thing is, in my first play through, and in also any other save file, I actually am able to do the Mister E Select-A-Coin + thanks to having Yo-Kai Watch 1, so this makes me think that, because my YKW1 game is also EUR, the problem is the AUS, but there's not much more I can do since that copy I have is completely different in every way to my other copy, let's say that I had both physical copies but still EUR and AUS, then I would know the problem, region-locked, but I can't. Also, it might have something to do with my SD Card or something like that, so if there's something you can check to see if the files should be written in a certain way then tell me, it would help me a lot!
Hopefully this could be useful to someone that maybe didn't check everything so now they're able to get it, and if you know about some information, please just let us know so more people can resolve this strange problem, because I've seen more people struggle. Thanks again and bye bye!
