Big reveals night for Phantom Nightmare! We got a whole 13 new cards tonight, with two bulk reveals for two archetypes plus some very special news involving Master Duel!
First up: new Raidraptors! Never been a big fan, personally, but the lineup includes a new Rank 13 monster (the second to be printed and only the third in the franchise's history) and a new Rank-Up Spell. Good for them!
Second up: new Aroma cards! They've got a new Fusion and a new Link to add onto the roster, along with a new Spell that can place their backrow from Deck.
Finally: a new FIRE Link-3! The Prisoner Princess of Fruitful Flames has had a bit of build-up thanks to some announced sleeves of her back in August plus a recent leak of her art via Master Duel ads on the Playstation Store. Why ads of her on Master Duel?
The big news for me is that Prisoner Princess is getting a (functionally) simultaneous release into the physical game AND Master Duel! I was expecting MD to eventually catch up to contemporary releases but I wasn't expecting to see modern cards this year. It'll be really exciting to see how they handle card releases going forward over there now that they're willing to do something like this.
