Youtube series are the new “in” things, and rightfully so. The best way to showcase your creativity is through the viral web. After a successful stint of series like “Permanent Roommates”, and creative finesses like Terribly Tiny Talkies, the new one to join the bandwagon is Y-films. For those of you who do not know or do not remember, Y-films is a subsidiary of Yashraj films.

The production house of new-fangled rom-coms like “Mujhse Fraaaandship Karoge”, “Luv ka The End”, Y-films is known for its youth-centric ideas and funky way of putting it across. The latest offering from the production house, however, is not a movie. It is a humorous take on the serious issue of gender inequality, by way of a Youtube series, “It’s a Man’s World”.

We have seen the issue of gender inequality dealt with, a number of times, in a variety of movies and tele-series alike. However, though most of them manage to convey the points, they expand to the extremes of feminazism, becoming too cliché and many times bordering on drama which is too much to digest.

It’s a Man’s World, on the other hand, is a fresh breath of air, which actually focuses on gender equality, instead of leaning towards favour to one gender. We loved the series of four episodes, and will list down quite some points (not spoilers though) on why you should watch it.

Feminism is not bad, sexism is. Discrimination against any gender is bad.
