i think trying to rush an artist on requests is never a good thing honestly, it def can very quickly lead to burnout and anxiety about art and guilt for drawing personal art while requests are being pushy, and it also rushing people is just... not a kind thing to do haha. plus requests can be denied and that isnt a bad thing.

and being impatient with requests is very rude. people are choosing to do art for free, the least you can do is respect their time and their art!!

if someone is ok with sonas and ocs and oc x canon being requested, its totally fine to request those things!! just dont send messages rushing and pushing them.

i think requesting from multiple artists is totally fine too, it shows you appreciate multiple peoples art and enjoy their styles!! just dont be pushy with anyone, and respect if they say no or never get around to it.

And, unless theyve actually Said that they do requests/that requests are open, Dont request things, its just disrespectful.

also, if youre unsure if someone takes requests for specific things, you can send a respectful ask about it!!

something like "hello, im not sure if you take requests for (thing), id like to know so i dont send anything youre uncomfortable with!"

and unless its an established commission that youre purchasing, dont expect the artist to do it!!

most artists pick and choose which requests to do because artists tend to get a lot of requests when they say they take them, and that doesnt mean anything negative towards other requests, people are just human and usually cant get around to Every request!!

also, if youre sending this as an artist who is experiencing these things, dont be afraid to stand up for yourself!! you dont deserve to be pressured and pushed around, you deserve respect and to be treated as a human being, not as an art machine.
