"Tapes. Uh, not that kind—" he clarified when the man raised an eyebrow, "—I'm a reporter. Sort of. I'm a uh, freelance reporter. I specialise in crazy stories."

"Crazy? How crazy?"

"Anything. Counter-cultures, alternative scenes, the paranormal… if it makes for a good story, I'm willing to hear anyone out."

"Would you like to hear a crazy story then?"
