Gosh darn it. Triton kicked up some dust as he stared at his phone. “Stay where you are.” he mocked quietly, stuffing the device back into his pocket. Yeah right. This place was making him antsy enough already, especially when he could hear tinkering sounds coming from somewhere up ahead. Of course this was probably just the sounds of Curo working away, but he didn’t know that. What if it got closer? What if it was one of the rumored monsters?? Well, he was going to get a look at it first, before it found him. And then, uh, well, he hadn’t thought that far through.

Walking further and peeking around a corner, his eyebrows raised in surprise. That was a person, a human person! Hey, he could work with that. He put a hand to his chin. Hm, how was he going to work with that. 

That’s a good question, Triton, especially considering the kid he’d encountered in the first place. Curo of course had heard someone speak just a little bit up ahead; it wasn’t loud of course, but it was a voice, and that had understandably put the corrupted yellow soul on edge. Naturally, he expected a monster to come around, so his reaction was to quickly finish covering up the spiked trap below and then get ready to gun down some pests. Instead, however, once he’d nearly finished his little patch job on his trap, he looked up and saw... a human?
