so guys i just wanted to tell y'all a story. i live in russia and for some of you this wont really matter but it actually made me upset. recently there was a writing contest held in our school, and we all was just sitting in classroom supposed to write a letter to an english-speaking pan-friend on given topic. and there was a girl a year or two younger than me who suddenly asked a teacher if she can call her friend who she was writing a letter ‘they’ bc she didn’t state whether it was a boy or a girl. and teacher looked at her just like she was completely insane and wondered how can person be not a boy or a girl but smth else. that girl tried to explain that she heard smth like that and just wanted to make sure she can call someone ‘they’ but it was obvious she got very confused and embarrassed and misunderstood. I just wanted to say that i’ve read a lot of stories about unacceptence but imagine living in a country where they cant even imagine that agender people can exist. /srr for all the mistakes i’ve possibly made/
