Yeosang Vampire Bf!!
It was dark out, the sky moonless and seemingly void of stars, thick clouds shielding the earth from their flickering beauty.
As a kid, you had disliked nights like these, your preference for the light clear as day. You had never much flourished in the dark, always at your best whenever some light was present.
Funny how some things could change so drastically in such a short amount of time.
You hadn’t known Yeosang that long, but long enough that his love for the darkness had rubbed off on you. Because unlike you, he lived for nights like these, when the world was nothing but coated in the darkest of inks, shadows bleeding into one another until they were indistinguishable.Â
“What are you thinking about?” came the soft voice of your boyfriend. He had always been soft-spoken, as far as you were aware. Not that he needed to raise his voice, especially not when the world around you lay silent and vast asleep.
“You,” you answered, looking over your shoulder to send a smile his way. He was closer than you had anticipated, his slim yet sturdy firm almost pressed against your back, some ignorable inches the only thing keeping the two of you apart. You could feel it now, now that you were aware of it: that typical cold breeze that always radiated from his body.Â
His hands were steady as he placed them on your hips, locking you in, pressing a gentle kiss to the back of your head.Â
“I’m hardly interesting enough to think about,” he muttered against your hair, the sound a little muffled.
“On the contrary,” you countered, turning around in his grip with practiced ease. The sight in front of you never left you anything short of breathless, Yeosang’s beauty nothing but ethereal and out of this world.Â
His hair, as black as the darkest inks, was pushed away from his forehead, giving free range to his delicate features, and exposing the slight birthmark underneath his eye that almost, but not entirely, blended into his pale skin. Tonight, his eyes were a light blue, captivating you even though you knew them to be contacts. It was such a stark contrast, but beautiful nonetheless.Â
“Hey,” you breathed, unable to keep a smile from forming.
“Hey,” Yeosang echoed, mirroring your smile, before pressing a gentle kiss to the tip of your nose. “Have I ever told you how beautiful you look like this?” he asked, making your smile widen.
You nodded. “You have, every single time we stand in front of this particular window.”
“Doesn’t make the words any less true,” he hummed, placing delicate kisses along your jaw and down your neck, nuzzling right below your ear. He breathed in, letting out a low and barely-there sound.
“Sangie?” you asked.
“Hm?”
“When was the last time you fed?”
A beat of silence, and then, in the softest of whispers, “Three weeks ago.”
You gasped, leaning back a little so you could look your boyfriend in the eye. “Three weeks?”
Yeosang smiled weakly, guilt edged in his too-fair features. “Give or take.”
Three weeks was long, too long, and the both of you knew that.Â
You sighed, caressing Yeosang’s cheek. It was cold beneath your fingertips. “Why didn’t you ask?”
“I can’t keep asking you, dear.”
“I distinctively recall me saying that I offered it. You don’t have to ask for it.”
“But--”Â
“No,” you cut him off, shaking your head. With a sigh, more out of a strange sense of endearment than annoyance, you bared your neck, giving Yeosang unlimited access to the spot he had been nuzzling before. “Feed, Sangie.”
There was a moment of silence, where the suspense was thick and heavy in the air, before Yeosang’s composure broke, and he lunged forward, his lips latching onto your skin and his teeth, his fangs, piercing through.
And as your eyes latched upon the dark night still visible through the window, your mind hazy with the pleasure that always accompanied the feeding experience, you couldn’t help but think of how perfect Yeosang was for this, how well he fitted into this life that was no longer entirely humane.
Because after all, even in the end that would never come for him, he was and would always be a creature of the night.
