March 21st is Donají's birthday!
I had wanted to do a family portrait for a long time. From left to right:
Béelia (Donají's mother).
Donají herself.
Yela (Cousin).
Gueela (Aunt)
Bio' (Eldest cousin).
Also a February reward release!

Today is Yela's birthday (Donaji's cousin). I have a chart on my room's wall to keep track of character ages as time passes within the story (spoilery characters are censored). I messed up some of the Nahuatl calendar names, pay no mind to those.
If anyone has a source with the sacred calendar's names of the days in Hñähñu (Otomi), I would really appreciate the tip!
Drew my two favorite villagers from Quie Yelaag (besides Donají and Béelia, of course), Bio' and Yela.
These two are actually Donaji's cousins, daughters of Béelia's older sister, Gueela (whom I haven't drawn yet). They're 25 and 24 years old respectively within the current events of the comic.
Bio' means "Moon" in Cajono Zapotec (ditse'). Yela means "Lagoon" in Serrano Zapotec (didzá).
Curious fact: their hairstyles are inspired on representations from Mixtec codices, adapted to my own style (back in 2014).
From Codex Vindoboensis (p. 34) and Codex Fejervary-Mayer (p. 27).
The #faceyourartchallenge seems to be back, so I did it again. Glad to see some improvement since the last one, plus more varied characters and not just a Donaji spam hahaha
All but one (Capri Caramelo) are characters from my webcomic, Codex Black.
