i’m sick of users who’ve been here for years being like “oh yeah tumblr’s up to its old shit again.” ive been here for YEARS too. I was here back when the old, ugly ass format was still in use. i was here when superwholock was on its rise. WE aren’t special. 

but if your response to a huge ban that targets and damages the community is, “ive been here for ages this is nothing new” then you’re part of the problem. i can confirm that tumblr has NEVER pulled something this shitty. this is taking it to a whole new “assfuckery” level. 

if you just let people trample you and other users, you’re supporting staff targetting content creators and sex workers. you’re just letting people be stepped over and treated like trash. 

it’s about censorship, how this is really a bandaid on a gun shot, and how staff is doing nothing against pedos or neo-nazis. they are not fixing the problem. they’re just saying “fuck it” and taking a lazy way out. im all for stopping cp and whatnot, but an outright ban wont do shit if they don’t tackle the filtration system head on. which they aren’t so....

but christ - the mean anons and outright ignorant comments never stop. some people are right and help me expand my understanding and perception. but the majority rely on insults, degradation and more. it’s so exhausting after weeks of the same shit being thrown your way time and time again.

Oh my God yall get over it. Porn just normalizes violence against women as it is, there are worse fucking things than banning it.
