Fun facts with Jayme: 

There are actually different manifestations of Klinefelter’s Syndrome, depending on cell representation of the gene mutation! While many patients have all cells with the XXY representation like Sullivan, there are others where only some of the cells have XXY and the others are XX. This is known as a mosiac Klinefelter’s or Klinefelters XX46, XXY47

- L’Elegance du Hérisson by Muriel Barbery. It’s the story of a 50 year-old apartement caretaker who hides who she really is from the outside world. She’s cultivated, likes music, fine art and movies, but to all the flithy rich people that live in the building, she’s just a bitter, ugly old lady. She finds that her safety is compromised when she befriends a little girl, Paloma, and one of the building’s new occupants, Mr. Ozu from Japan. It’s a heartfelt tale about how appearences aren’t everything, but mostly about what it means to be Human.

- The Martian by Andy Weir. Anticipation sci-fi. A man is stranded on Mars alone, light-years away from Earth. I kinda fell in love with Mark Watney (this man in question). This book made me laugh and cry and think.

- Right ho, Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse. Bertie Wooster’s in trouble again. Jeeves comes to the rescue (again). What more can I say? To quote Stephen Fry: “You don’t analyse such sunlit perfection, you just bask in its warmth and splendour.”

- Harry Potter (every single one) by J.K. Rowling. Honestly, do I have to say something here?

- The Hobbit by Tolkien. I never really got over the Hobbit; not even when the movies came out and brought the characters to life once more. That brave little hobbit who left the safety of his home and went looking for adventure is each and every one of us. I personally identify strongly with Bilbo. And I’ll never forget who the rightful king under the moutain is.

- I, Robot by Isaac Asimov. The master of sci-fi tries his hand at robots. What isn’t there to love about this?

- Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. If you haven’t read Foundation, all I can tell you is: run, don’t walk, to the first library (or online website) you find and buy/download this gem. 

- Eragon series by Christopher Paolini. Telepathic dragons and mysterious elfs and wild sword fights in an enchanted land. I read this when I was twelve years old, and I still think of it all the time.

- Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories, by A.C. Doyle. I am obsessed with that cursed detective and his loyal doctor. And when I say obsessed, I mean obsessed. I live for those books. Beware. I am obsessed.

- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. THIS BOOK WILL LITERALLY CHANGE YOU BELIEVE ME.
