("Friends" reference) I think Marvel finally made a Spider-Man to beat the two good Raimi movies. Homecoming had a couple of nice nods to the Raimi films and one or two logic holes you could slip an aircraft carrier through, but otherwise it's a solid outing. Aunt May at the end! Almost no angst Several characters of color A plot twist that wasn't telegraphed ahead of time (I read no spoilers) A reveal I did expect but that was handled fairly well - also, the revealed character is more interesting than expected, thank gods Tony Stark almost an adult, but not quite Happy! Cap PSAs "I want to get there early to get in some light protesting" "Protesting is patriotic." A BELIEVABLE VILLAIN WITH A PLAUSIBLE (nothing is perfect, but no wives or children had to die for it) BACKSTORY AND ACTUALLY KIND OF MENACING
