Although the illegal drug campaign is subject for CHR (Commission on Human Rights) and UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council) investigation, we should be aware that the Mexican cartels are silently entering and controlling the illegal drug trade here in our country. Worst case scenario, they would shift their operations here from South America to Asia making Philippines as their main hub if they deemed feasible. Given the current situation, there is no way we can deny that the Philippines has so many entry and exit points and it’s extremely hard for the authorities and beyond their capacity to trace the drugs since our country has over 7,700 Islands.
Oh boy, P400-Billion illegal drug trade in the country is no longer acceptable. Sooner or later, we might become the next “Colombia of Asia” or worst case scenario, the fighting cartels inflicted “Mexico of Asia.”
Would you allow that to happen? No way, Jose.
