The Day of Fools and the Year of Fear
The Year of Verum is over, and as she leaves, we enter a year of pranks and frights! First, a single-day celebration begins on Ortus: the Day of Fools! After Verum's year of truth and bitter honesty, the horses of Ortus just need one day to let loose and be absolutely ridiculous before entering Timor's year of fear and mind games. Today only (April 1st) you can find the Fool, a special limited edition companion, in the wild (including in a small baby form for the 0 year olds). While scholars of fauna and flora argue that this creature is properly called a "blobfish", the horses of Ortus have come to embrace it as a special symbol of this festivities. It comes in three varieties: Blob, Rock, and Potato. You can also find the Leaping Fool (otherwise known as the Goliath Bullfrog). Following the same rules as the Fool, this new companion can only be found today (April 1st) in the wild (including in a small baby form for the 0 year olds). **Both fools are also available in Catura's shop.** We don’t have a new Fool for you this year, but we are planning some spooky contests that will show up throughout the month. There might even be a chance of a Bingomita game or two! As this is also Timor's year, he will step into the mortal plane once more to strike fear into the hearts of those on Ortus. For Timor's event, you may enter the Silvam Infestus  (link in news post on Indo) or on the location page. Click through different directions until you reach either a checkpoint or the end and you'll be rewarded with Timor's event item, a Talisman. If you are stopped by a fiendish feline, you'll receive nothing for your trouble. If you reach a checkpoint (at steps 10 and 20), you can cut your losses and take a partial amount of Talismans. If you're daring enough to make it to the end, you can grab the daily maximum of 30 Talismans per account per day. Any character can be active for the event, and may find additional useful items along the way. You can attempt the Silvanum Infestus as many times as you wish until you reach your daily account maximum of 30 Talismans. You can then spend Talismans in Timor's Shop, on the location page. Timor's month will also include being able to find two Spirits of the Gods in the wild on the 15th of the month... If you feel lucky! Remember, these Spirits are very rare and elusive, and can be found by exploring with both foals and adults. **This month's spirits are Timor and Auctus.** Most importantly, Timor’s month includes Mica’s birthday! On April 8, make sure to wish Mica a happy birthday and keep an eye out for the African Wild Dog in the wild-both babies (for 0 year olds) and adults! Her Staff Spirit will also be roaming Ortus for those willing to search for it! **So, to recap this month's events:** April 1st: Day of Fools and beginning of Timor's Month. April 8th: Mica’s birthday! Find the African Wild Dog and her Staff Spirit in the wild. April 15th: Find Spirits of Timor and Auctus in the wild.
