Zeb’s ears drooped and he sulked “Somethings you cannot do alone. In this, you are the fool.”
Zeb gave a slight lip curl but looked to the side knowing better than to growl at his grandmother. She whacked him on the head.
“Hey!” He grimaced and rubbed at his violated head “Don’t hit a pregnant man on the head!”
“Why? He is not pregnant there” she smiled “or, is he?”
“Ain’t the time or place Ras-Ashnashta. I should be getting back ta m’bondmate. He’s gunna be worried.”
Chava gave that knowing little laugh. “Why? He is already here.” she gestured at the shadows.
