I am still puttin' together a fifth Doctor costume! I've got just less than a month left to do it all in. Should be okay.
I've got the trousers, and the cricket jumper's just a matter of hanging around eBay until one comes up at the right price. Lots of places sell similar hats so I'm just looking for a fairly priced one which I can add the red band to. The shirt and braces aren't too hard, I'm just gonna add the question marks with a Sharpie (I'm pretty sure a lot of hardcore cosplayers will cringe at seeing that), and I'm going to find a cheap pair of white plimsolls from Primark (which is, for the non-Britishly inclined among you, a painfully cheap shop famous for being cheap and slightly tacky and not much else).
There are beige coats on eBay but none are anywhere close to right even if I accept I'll have to add the red bits (again, clearly I know my stuff) myself afterwards. I'm probably gonna buy a labcoat (somebody here recommended this to me and I don't remember who, but it's a good idea and thanks again!) and dye it with miniscule amounts of yellow dye instead.
Sometimes I stop and ask myself if I should calm down and just wear a Forbidden Planet Fivey t-shirt instead of all this fuss since it'll be hot and since it's a party more than a cosplay event... but then I think, no, I want to go berserk and assemble a full costume, and I feel that as an adult it is my priviledge to do so.
