while im really sad sometimes that hetalia is no longer popular and is frowned upon the public eye, im also sorta relieved? ive been reading a bunch of posts on how fandom bas changed and became a lot more monetized/toxic nowadays. and im kinda thankful for the current status of hetalia and its current status because this is... not really something you can capitalize on? it flies under the radar of a lot of scammy people.

and it has a pretty good sense of fandom etiquette! of course there is going to be some wackos, but isnt that every fandom? i think because its an old fandom, it maintains the old fandom practices and manners and that means a lot.
