yeah exactly! i wonder how people actually even begin a lolita lifestyle or whatnot...there is so much emphasis on innocence and quality and femininity and all these other kinda..values that are tossed to the side nowadays aaha........

There’s a lot of emphasis on that stuff in the clothing itself but the wearer’s personality is their personality. I think I’ve heard the ppl of my comm swear more than anyone else and they are honestly the greatest i love my (drama free) comm ahh

ah i see. there seems to be a lot of misconceptions about lolita and stuff and it's so good they kindly and clearly made an effort to correct them aaha. i see FAR TOO OFTEN people just...dismissing them and humiliating them :c

there’s a facebook group called “Closet of Frills” where other lolitas post their coords and the like. Someone just posted a pic of them in a halloween costume and dollar store socks and said that they’d tried to tailor the costume into a proper coord. It... did not work. At all. The fabric was terrible quality and the whole thing looked kinda ridiculous. I don’t wanna bag on a beginner but she did not put like any research into it at all
