I’m hoping that there’ll still be an audience around to receive it. It’s been years since I posted the last chapter but I always planned/hoped/wanted to complete the labour-of-love Epilogue with my usual flash-forward style goodies included.

I’m also never on here anymore, but I will post it on here, FFnet and AO3, for anyone who’s still seeing my posts.

So….ive just logged into tumblr for the first time in literally 2+ years, and I’ve found a few messages like this waiting for me. I’ve no idea when you sent this, but I just want to say thank you - it warms my heart so much that people became so invested in my little ole fic.

I was talking to my bestie @resident-of-storybrooke last night, and I AM going to finish this. Next month is the 7 year anniversary of me starting YCoM, and I’m going to do my absolute best to complete it by then (it’s already about halfway written!).

In the time I’ve been away/not writing, I got married and had a little pirate baby of my own, and I’m also back at work, so I get very little downtime. BUT I am carving out 30-60 mins on an evening, a few times a week for writing, and I’m very much committed to completing this epilogue.

I’ll also be posting it on here, as well as FFnet and AO3.

While writing the next chapter of YCoM, I realized that I never fully delved into who made up the Boston Homicide & FBI BAU teams. I had a few of them make cameos, but not all of them (yet).

So here’s a helpful little visual to formally introduce them...even though I’m 24 chapters deep into the story 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

(It’s gonna be a true chunky boi of a book, considering it’s almost 200K words right now. Putting that into perspective: The Fellowship of the Ring was 177K words, apparently, which I just surpassed!)

I then also got thinking about cover art. And I have no clue where to start with that!

Do you guys have any recommendations/tips/ideas?Any friends who take commissions for fandom/stylized/photography style book cover art? Any websites or apps etc you can recommend, where I could even potentially create my own book cover, if need be?

I made an artwork grid for the fic when I first started writing YCoM, and I really like that kind of style for it. But I don’t know if I’d be able to use that or how I’d adapt it to a front cover. Any ideas or tips for that would also be greatly appreciated!
