Orion was still figuring out what he was doing at this giant event. People everywhere, dressed up and chatting. Not that he didn’t love talking to people, but he wasn’t exactly confident just wearing his paramedic uniform. He wished he’d gotten to wear something a bit more elaborate or... different. Even gone in drag. But oh well. He was a bit tired from work and not paying much attention- not a good mix for a 6′7″ giant of a man carrying a full cup of punch. He bumped into someone as he was turning and held his cup up very high, watching the liquid teeter back and forth, nearly spilling over the both of them. “Ah- caught it. Wow, that would’ve been a bit of a mess, sorry about that.” He pulled his bright red punch back down. “I really need to watch where I’m going.” 

time usually starts to blur when too much happens, and even for the strongest of wills, things start to slip through the cracks. as if a new job — a role as important as the one she had just obtained — wasn’t nerve-wracking enough, lucy had to add an unprecedented reunion with someone she had been close to, hell — someone she had considered a sister. funny how things as trivial as breakups in your twenties became strong enough to also end friendships. she couldn’t remember what the last time they had spoken was, but looking at yaz there, in the office, brought in a rush of bittersweetness that almost stopped her in her tracks. “good morning,” she greeted meekly, raising a hand briefly. “i didn’t know you worked here,” lucy added, her tone unable to express her nostalgia correctly. | @yazsanchez​

harry would’ve gone in for an immediate greeting once he spotted yaz, but he was forced to stop himself from just picking her off the ground or some of their usual stupid greetings. instead, he held his plastic scythe in between the two of them, a slightly concerned look on his face — furrowed eyebrows and all. “how likely are you to shred me to pieces with those claws of yours?” he asked, and as the words kept falling from his lips, his seriousness started fading, a smile replacing it quickly. “you look gorgeous.” a little pause. “i’ll add more buzzwords to keep myself un-shredded, if you must know.” | @yazsanchez​
