Salvatore is the youngest of three children and this side of the family is pretty much entirely gangsters. I think it was his mother's side which had nothing to do with it, but his father, it was a pretty literal family business stretching back to his grandpappy. Sally's parents are known as Amerigo (Seviper) and Lady Valentina (Arbok).

When Sally and his older brother Vincent were teens, they were being kind of groomed into it. What changed this was that one day they got into an altercation with some Zangoose- they were harassing Vinny, who, being the negotiator-in-training, tried to talk them down but Sally WASN'T HAVIN NONE OF THAT. He grabbed his brother's knife and rushed them; it went okay enough until they overpowered him and one accidentally slashed his face and got his eye BAD. They panic and run off, Vinny's left to rush his brother to the hospital, and Sally decides he's pretty done with this kind of crowd.

Trouble follows him anyway and he ends up as somewhat of a delinquent up through adulthood for more street brawls and the occasional bar fight, earning him quite a few scars. His oldest sister Isabelle helps cover up his record and helps him find a home in the next town over to separate him from the people who know his name and might want to draw more blood.

Fast forwarding a bit, he ends up living with Zephy and taking care of a Munchlax named Benji, he ends up dating his neighbor Lenny (the Kecleon in the corner of this, i haven't posted any fanart of him) and Vinny actually moves into the house behind him with his godson, Jack.
