The house smells amazing.

They both have milk so I shouldn't eat them but I ate a muffin anyway and it was fine...not what I wanted it to be but fine.

Unfortunately baking led to cleaning and putting clothes away and now I am so very tired. Which is how I know it wasn't mania making me do all that. Also I didn't make more work for myself in the process or hyperfocus on one thing until exhaustion.

This is normal tired for someone who only slept four hours and ate a muffin and hasn't had anything to drink for six hours.

An old house is loud all by itself. It doesn't need help. (I can hear the pipes and the electricity and there's something in the attic we're going to ignore)

If you send me an email at this hour, I will not be nice to you.

The cats work on a different clock and anytime there is a human awake is food time. Also they stop screaming if I start recording. (little shits)

So I am not annoying the daylights out of him.

Just my cat, who can't sit in my lap now because he hates it. He was stewing in the doorway with his ears back for a while and now he's in a chair behind me, so he's in the room but my lap is too close to the clicky for his ears.

Now to figure out how to get my music to play on my earbuds so the clicking isn't overpowering it...

Last book: I'm currently working through A Spear Cuts Through Water!! It's really good... tbh the only reason I haven't finished it yet is that I'm careful about when I pick it up because as soon as I do. I do not wanna put it down LMAO and I have things I gotta do besides reading!! Beyond that, recently finished Strange Pictures for our book club, which was pretty fun. Love a book with a gimmick LMAO

Last song: Y'know most of the time I could put a blorbo song in here and expand upon that, but no. I literally just finished listening to 1-800 by BBno$ featuring Ironmouse Rhythm Heaven Custom Remix. It's good

Last movie: Cosmic Princess Kaguya!! It was a ride, and SO PRETTY... Solène put it on just to take a peek and I didn't realize it was a movie at first, but the animation quality was high enough that I was like. This. Cannot be a show ljskdjkfds- very fun, delightful left-field switch at the end, let's go lesbians

Last series: Hrrmmmm what would this beee.... Oh y'know what, I'll keep the anime train going since today's when Journal with Witch and You and I are Polar Opposites drop new episodes! Both so delightful, and it's wonderful that their schedules are synced because Journal with Witch is always such a (beautiful, poignant, funny) gut punch kldsljfksd, it's fun to have something lighthearted to follow with!! Beyond that, been idly peeking in on Solène's Sopranos watchthru LMAO

Coffee or tea: Ooogghhh I really like both!! I enjoy a morning coffee, but tea is my favorite for a midday pick-me-up. I've been tucking some earl grey into my bag when I go into the office for work hehe

Working on: Okay so. Juggling a very silly animation thing AND finishing the demo for my silly little DnD visual novel demo!! It's a lot, and I've been very tired lately, but I like. Need to finish and share something. It's so vital. So we persist!! Trying to do like. One frame and one sprite at least, every time I sit down to draw- so watch this space!! (Or rather, watch my art blog lmao)

The selection has been really random lately- like, right now in this very moment, I'm on Book of the Dead on Sale by Saintseneca? No idea why, it just popped into my head when I woke up (It kinda makes me think of Haunt, but I think that's purely on the vibe of the name + the kinda chill energy around the concept LMAO)

Beyond that though, my fallbacks rn are Magic by Ado and Sympathy Magic by Florence + the Machine!! Newer songs by two of my favorite artists and they both slap!! (Or maybe Magic isn't as new, but it at least got a new music video and it's so good)

Sympathy Magic gets a shoutout for making me think of Frenchy's girl Wyn, and Solène and I have been reading the Umineko manga so of course I've latched onto Magic HARDCORE as a Beato song and I wanna animate something for her to it, it's on the project list, someday someday, anyway-
