yamham replied to your post:i rewatched the new bee and puppycat episodes i…...
something BUGS you about BEE??
yeah, something about the series (especially about bee) comes off as really... obnoxious? grating? idk, it sorta makes me think of people i used to know in high school that i'd rather not associate with
like i get that bee is supposed to be sort of obnoxious and loud and immature because that's the point, that's part of her character, but idk it just isn't really doing anything for me so far, which is a shame because a lot of the show is very cute and sweet and silly and gentle and... genuine? sincere? warm? idk i'm having trouble putting my exact feelings into words, but there's a lot about the show that appeals to me, it's just kinda hard to see that and appreciate that when a fair bit of it is as aggravating to me as it is. maybe it'll get better? maybe i'll get used to it / get over it? i'm hopeful, because a lot of it seems really good and i really really want to like this, but as it stands it just kinda bothers me at times
Why do the Big Bang Theory comics upset you so much? The people making them are just expressing their opinion on the series through satire. See, I don't like the show at all. I think it has a poor, thoughtless sense of humor akin to that of Family Circus, so it actually bothers me when I hear people talk about how funny it is. But I'm not telling fans to go fuck themselves, you know? Nothing to stress out over, just something to shrug off.
So that's how people express their opinion now, by making annoying so-called comic strips and mock the show and excuse it as "satire"? I know it's not a tv series that's for everyone and I don't really care that other people thinks it's stupid but it will annoy you if you look at the tags such as the "tbbt" and "the big bang theory" daily. Though I am a bit having a dull moment because it really WAS there to mock and annoy those who actually watch the show (Bravo.). I mean, it's not like WE, THE FANS OF THE SHOW, bombard you with asks and posts and shove them into your throats or make fun of those who do not watch it and say they are not real geeks because they do not watch this series. Also, what you said is actually a bit contrasting because you mentioned "they" are only expressing their opinion and that those of us who ACTUALLY WATCH THE SHOW AND THAT WE DO KNOW THAT THEIR SCRIPT AND EVERY FUCKING EPISODE IS NOT TOTALLY COMPOSED OF THAT MINDLESS "CATCHPHRASE" THAT WAS LAST HEARD FROM THE LAST FUCKING SEASON are also only expressing our opinion that the show is actually funny not only for the reason that we get the references (mind you, we do not dwell on the idea that just because we understood the reference we're geeks already... and I do not even know if there's this organization world wide that if you are not a member you're not a REAL GEEK therefore you are judged as a fake one just like those hipsters who wear glasses and tag their photos with #nerd #geek #pretty #colors #love #emo #alone) but because in our daily lives we DID/DO experience some of their pathetic situations and life experiences. See, you just said it bothers you whenever people express their OPINION that they think it's funny. It bothers me whenever people try to make fun of us who likes it and who makes fun of the show.
I've already moved on and just within the hour of expressing my dismay I have already accepted that we cannot do anything about it but simply let it pass and, like you said, it's "just something to shrug off" since it's "nothing to stress over".
Last words though.
