He’s going to drag himself around, half dead. He looks terrible, tired, and looks his actual age. 

He can barely keep his eyes open, he has a burning fever, but he insists he’s fine

Will fall asleep standing. 

You will have to drag him away from his equipment 

He wont admit he’s sick until he’s so ill that he can’t get out of bed

The rats will have to get you tbh. 

You have to guilt him to stay with you. You call it a staycation, but everyone knows that’s just a way for him to relax without loosing his pride

Wont ask you for help, but will stare intensely at you, then whatever he needs, then back

he won’t want to get you sick, so he won’t let you snuggle with him. He does want you in the room with him regardless. He only relaxes completely when he knows his trusted partner is there to watch out for him

Hates taking pills. They’re giant and he wants none of it. He also hates cough medications. A giant baby, really. You may have to get creative. He will be dramatic

Even if he can’t snuggle with you, he likes to hold your hand.

Will want to watch cop shows and criticize them for fun. Likes older black and white movies that don’t have as many effects in them, it’s easier on his senses.

Carrot soup every meal. Please??

Will constantly check in with work to make sure everyone is okay without him

Yafya had been resting on the couch. He was slouching and flipping through mindless television when you came over. He put his arm silently over the back of the couch. It’s his silent invite for you to come sit and snuggle with him (he can’t just ask you because that’s silly)

You come over and he hands over the remote. It doesn’t matter what you two watch, as long as you’re together. His brain is off anyway. It’d been a long day.

He wraps his arm around your shoulders, pulling you in. He begins to idly scratch your head and ears.

When you start purring? He stops for just a second, but just a second. He gets this soft look on his face, and goes back to petting you. 

He tries to pull you closer, hoping that he could hear the purring a little better.

He really like your purring? It makes him feel warm and fuzzy inside, though he doesn’t know how to express it. Instead? He just becomes a bit more attentive, just so you’d purr more. 

Yafya goes out of his way to challenge his S/O out of the bedroom. it helps build the tension for him (angry sex is one of his favorites)

If Yafya isn’t bleeding at least a little when things are over, he’s going to be disappointed. You have claws for a reason, and he gets so turned on when you use them

Yafya is a brat, even as a bottom. He’s going to egg you on, if you’re not going all out and rough, he’s not going to be satisfied

Blind him. He wears a blindfold anywhere, but if you’re a carnivore and quiet, he’s easily spooked which excites him

He’s a horse, and he’s strong because of it. Invest in some good BDSM gear. He’ll love it, otherwise he’s yanking the chains out the walls

When you really have him vulnerable, then you can really have your fun. He’s at your mercy, and despite how much the protests, he really does like it. 

Yafya has a crazy high stamina, you need to keep up with him. If you already got him weak at the knees, you owe it to him to satisfy him

Choke him. Don’t question it, just do it

Yafya

He doesn’t keep track of how long he works, he just does it and accepts that that’s how his life is. He’s done it since he was young, the daily fifteen or more hour grind is normal for him

He tells you this when you realize just how much he works. You shouldn’t be able to wake up at three in the morning alone, just because he needed random paperwork done. It didn’t help that he would write the same sentence fifteen times over because he couldn’t concentrate enough to do it properly. 

Yafya’s not young anymore, and overworking when he was young is probably a big contributing factor to why his knees ache whenever he does anything physical for more than a few hours.

This time he pushed himself way to far, and he knows it. He did an all nighter and all day stake out. Did he catch the criminal he was after? Yes. Does his whole body hurt so bad that he feels like he’s going to collapse at any moment? Also yes.

He walks into his loft and flops on the couch, exhausted. 

“How are you feeling?” Yafya cracks open his eyes, realizing the lighting in the room was VASTLY different. The sky outside his window went from a clear blue, to an orange. The sun must already be setting. He must have been asleep for the better half of the day, it probably was early evening by this point. He tries to sit up, despite that all of his muscles are protesting at his actions. He manages, crossing one leg over the other. His movements were less than smooth, but he hoped you wouldn’t notice. He felt kind of dizzy.

“Fine,”  He looked your direction, ears flicking absentmindedly, trying to catch any small noises. He may be safe in his building, but his instincts all but demanded that he account for any small noise that he heard when he first woke up.

“Just fine? It look like you’re moving a little stiff,” He snorted, and turned his head away. He could still see you, but he didn’t want to look directly at you. 

“I’m fine,” He puts a hand on one of his knees, and props himself up, before promptly falling back into his seat. He closes his eyes so he doesn’t have to see your smug face.

“I’ll get your ice packs,” He can hear the smugness in your voice. He groans, and lays out on the couch again. At least you’ll take care of him. He wont say it, but when you walk back over, he’s grateful. 

Louis

Louis can, and will, run himself into the ground

He will stay late and do paperwork, forget to eat, forget to drink...well, he’s running on energy drinks, but that’s far from hydrating. 

Louis may never forget dates, or to spend an allotted amount of time with you, but any free time he has is spent working. He has a lot of plans, and knows how to execute them effectively, but he forgets he isn’t a robot. 

You tried to tell him that he was working too much. You tried to tell him to relax or he’d get sick, but he didn’t. 

Your knuckles knocked against the heavy wood door of his work office. It was already past ten, and he hadn’t been home. You tried to call, but to no avail. His voice was cut off by a sneeze, but you took at as a sign to enter his office. He looked up from his computer.

You catch him at his computer, a significant pile of tissues in his garbage, and a few empty boxes in a neat pile. 

“You didn’t come home, I was worried,” Louis sniffed, and glanced down at the time. His eyes got a bit wider, and he slid his chair back and stood.

“I apologize,” He sounded congested, but he tries to distract himself by adjusting his wrinkled tie. He pushes his chair back in and tries to clean his desk off. 

“You’ve worked yourself sick,” You comment, tone scolding. He rolls his eyes.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” You just smirk.

“Try saying that again with the correct pronunciation,” He shoots you a look, but the full force of his stare was cut off by a loud sneeze that shook his body. 

“Tissue?” You grab the box off his desk and offered it to his. He sniffed again and took it, conceding. 

“Let’s go home,” He tried to sound firm. It just sounded tired. You just laughed at your poor spouse, and clicked the elevator button.

It hits Yahya like a truck. When he realizes it, his world stops. 

Oh...

Yahya goes into deep denial. He avoids you, dodges phone calls, makes excuses to not to see you. 

The fact you’re a carnivore? No way, he can’t. It’s not normal, or acceptable. He just needs a drink or two, and a few evenings alone.

He just isolates himself, and drowns himself in his work. It’s easier to keep busy and avoid his feelings than confront them. The last time he trusted someone? They left him without a second thought. This would just end the same way, why wouldn’t it?

He also feels guilty that you’re a carnivore, and he has his garden. What would you think of him? Would you hate him? You probably would. All carnivores hated him. 

Honestly? His own self destruction sends him spiraling, but luckily for him, he has a few hundred rats looking out for him. The leader of the rats is too old for this horses shit. 

The old rat gives Yahya a lecture he really didn’t want to hear, but needed to hear.

He calls you eventually, and invites you over to talk. It’s a talk that’s long. It takes him an hour alone to get to the point. 

He finally lays it all out in a very dramatic display of emotion. He can’t look at you.

Yafya wouldn't really say it. He's the kind of guy who has a love language where he shows he loves someone more than he says it. His way of saying he loves you is making time in his busy schedule for you, cooking for you, pulling the blanket up when you're sleep. He wont say it directly, but when he does talk about you, he talks about you two together.

Such as

"We're going to move into a new place together"

"My partner and I are going here for dinner"

"We wont let anything get in the way"

He talks in a way where you two almost seems like one being, one person. He also shows he loves you because he listens to you, even though he's incredibly stubborn he will take your advice. He put himself out there once, and it ended badly. So, he has a really hard time even trying to say the most basic things you'd expect from your romantic partner.

You could be getting married-

"I love you"

"You fight good."

He'd probably say it when he's exhausted, and no longer has the ability to keep his walls and filters up.

He'd just crash into bed with you, and you'd say goodnight and that you love him. He'd just say it so casually while he's half dead that he may not even realize he said. It may sound casual, but he means it. He'd risk his life for you, but verbalizing how he feels isn't the way he functions.

When you say it to him

He kind of feels like crying??? Finally, someone who loves him the same way he loves them. For once in his life he's found someone who understands him and loves him despite that fact he secretly knows he's a mess. The relief that comes over him could rival any feelings he's ever had. Suddenly he doesn't feel as insecure as he once did. You love him. YOU love him. It's not one sided, it's not going to end badly, because you love him. His trust wasn't misplaced.
