Some ships have flags, one of my favorite would be the skephalo flag. I thought it would be fun to create my own but for the Kerdlt nation.
What makes a ship flag is to have the colors of the characters. At first, I thought of the Aroace flag, to me personally, it speaks well to Kris and Berdly. The only problem to me is that I refer to Kris’ color as red instead of yellow. Then I started to wonder: “What colors would match Kris and Berdly as a flag?”
Got it! Blue, White, and Red!
But then I realized that it was just the france flag 🇫🇷
(Undercut of long ramblings about Berdly and Kerdly)
I’d pick Berdly because one for sure, I adore Kerdly. The other reason will be a little longer than just being fixated on ships.
I think it’s safe to say Berdly could be my favorite Delta-kid. From chapter one I did find him annoying don’t get me wrong, but soon I found it charming. The more I meddled with the town, I took note of it to interact with Berdly. Then I slowly found him funny!
I’m no good with analyzing characters in media but I love trying nonetheless. Berdly to me is firstly a kid, a flawed one like any natural person(or creature in this example, and I love me some flawed person). At first you(probably) see him as an annoying kid who’s intelligent and boast about it. At first glance though.
Yes he sounds like a jerk but I feel that it’s something he doesn’t understand. He thinks that Noelle is in-love with him because why would she constantly help him? Susie being all over him because why would she try to give him a different perspective or God-forbid act nice around him, or Kris, his “3rd place rival” would want to go to the festival with him(if you choose that option). In his head, can no one just like him if they weren’t in-love with him? Because well—no one can actually enjoy his company if they were head over heels?!
(To get headcannony, I personally headcannon him as neurodivergent. It’s really just the signs).
Also, we don’t really have any idea of how his parents are like. It’s a fact that kids grow according to the environment, so how or where is his parents? Toby either has a plan for every student’s parents or not. And lot’s of Berdly fans love theorizing that Berdly’s parents may not be the best.
Hey, that Undertale anniversary showed us a Blue feathered teacher. Lots of us think that she’s Berdlys mother. And that would really explain why he is that why. A teacher mom, though again still don’t really have any direct hint about Berdlys parents hehe

Once you learn his mindset, you can see how his way of seeing relationships is not at all the best. It hints well that he’s insecure. You don’t even have to constantly interact with him to realize that he is insecure about himself, in chapter 2 you get to learn his story with Noelle. His relationship/friendship with Noelle is a different story but one I do love. He firstly wins the spelling bee contest but not entirely fairly. He knows that it’s Noelle’s freezes up state that he got to spell “December” first. Whether he knows the reason why Noelle freezes, he does acknowledge that she could’ve won. Not just that but because she would constantly help him with studies.
I once saw a blog about Berdly, the reason why he always stuck around Noelle is because she always helps him no matter what. That with all these great offerings she gives, he feels that he owes her a lot. And I really like to think it that way! You get to learn how Berdly can be flawed, and I just really like that about this goofy chud.

Now..about that festival ey?
Let’s get this straight..Kris isn’t. We are playing as Kris and we know darn well from the game that WE ARE NOT KRIS. So why would I force Kris to get with Berdly?
Kris does not hate Berdly, for the love of me I still hope people slowly learn that. From the interactions you get to analyze dialogues from the game and learn about Kris behavior. Now I haven’t entirely explored about Kris, but I do know enough about their mischievous ways. They can be a tad bit mean when they wanted Noelle’s dad to hit Berdly with a rock. But we can’t say for sure if it was a joke? Or that scene if we tell Ralsei that we would go with Berdly to the festival, and Kris would repeat/yell Berdly’s name. Yeah it can be one where Kris didn’t want to go with him, so they question your actions. But who’s to say that they just didn’t expect Berdly. In a way where they don’t entirely hate his presence but questions why out of everyone, YOU would choose Berdly. I even saw one Blog that Kris could be flustered that you chose Berdly.
I like Kerdly, I mainly blog about them XD .
I just adore these dorks and I’m actually so so proud that it’s getting more people to see it’s potential! The festivals GOT ME SO HYPED! In short, I am a Kerdly fan that just wants to see more Kerdly content. I rambled too much in rapid bullet speed because I haven’t yet.
