Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Writers' love go ❤
Aw thanks :D you didn’t know this, but you sent this on my birthday >u< What a lovely present.
This specifies ‘written’, so I can’t include any lovingly imagined but eternally unwritten AUs. Five feels like a lot so I’ll try to keep this brief! In alphabetical order instead of preference order:

Can There be a Name for this Act? (Silmarillion, Celegorm/Curufin and Celegorm/Orome, unusual adventure story and animal story and horror novel based on medieval literature) This place has everything. Storytelling structure and tropes taken from Welsh Medieval folklore. Allusions to Goethe’s Faust. Egregious brother/brother incest which serves as a commentary on the race and gender obsessions of fascism. Animal transformations and frequent gender swapping. Psychic lesbian foreplay. Godfucking. A dragon
Can You Believe This?? (Octopath Traveler II, Castti/Throne, various queer NPC ships) A fic I wrote after a played three of the minor character epilogue missions in a row that all made me say ‘damn, that was gay.’ In this fic Castti and Throne’s relationship slowly blossoms as they interact with other queer relationships and travel the world together. Every time I reopen this fic, I read the whole damn thing. I love it so much. I think the idea was genuinely inspired and that I communicated my vision well.
I Do; I Will (Silmarillion, Fingon Coronation Tournament Arc): A divine vision that smote me, Carin; Caruvan is an unbelievably tight 20k banger about Fingon fighting every one of his Feanorean cousins on the night of his coronation to force them to accept him as King. It rules. I recently rewrote it as a stageplay script because it rules so much (and to practice my Quenya poetry).
THE RAREPAIR HELL (Silmarillion, Osse/Celebrimbor plus poly various) God damn it. God fucking damn it. I had one good idea for a really just still-bleeding rarepair. I intended to write a 30k banger to make me Queen of that Ship forever and then leave. Now fucking look at this
Wild for to Hold (Suikoden 2, Luca/Jowy, Abuse and Hatred) Older than most other personal favorites, but still very close to my heart. WftH is a ship written for an almost unknown rarepair; the game came out in 1998, there are 5 fics for the ship on AO3 and 0 on ff.net (unless it isn’t filtering right). I am by far the most prolific writer for the ship with my one explicit 20K rapefic feat. The poetry of Sir Thomas Wyatt, Renaissance Fuckboy. While this now feels like the writing of a younger version of myself I’m still so goshdarn proud of it.
