"my friend, gerard, he and i are new here, our land back home wasn't the safest to be in, and we thought things were normal here, because we're normal. but.. is it not normal?" had stories been changed here as well? god, she needed to find the rest of their friends. maybe if they could just get timothy's book back they could help the people in this world too. "i like using both. sometimes it's easier to just swing an axe and make it through a bottleneck." they liked their axe for those sorts of fights, sometimes more than just shifting and using their wolf arm. "maybe. that would be nice, i'll definitely think about it." it felt like something she should ask gerard about. something he would probably have some opinion about stranger danger or whatever, but she thought they should at least talk to him first.
"yikes-- you're that dead guy!" ylfa stared back at the person who they had knocked into, getting ready to apologize before they actually took in the other's face, recognizing them from when they found ros. well, he was awake again, that had to be a good thing.. even if ylfa still didn't know who he was to their friend. "you got staked in the heart or something. but, you look okay now. that's good. i'm sure rosamund will be happy!"

ylfa didn't really want to get into it, not that intensely at least, and yet the words left their lips before they could really stop it. so maybe going up to random strangers asking for money wasn't the best look, and maybe it would get them into some kind of trouble of someone asking them what might be going on that they need it so desperately but-- ylfa had to try. waving down a new person, ylfa stopped in front of her. "hey! could i borrow cash to square some debts? i know i sound desperate, but i swear to god, i can pay you back in like.. a week."
“you got it, dad!” ylfa threw over their shoulder with a laugh, not really paying much attention to what it was that gerard has said, but it didn't register until she was a little further ahead, skidding to a stop. "wait--" they whipped around, looking back at gerard finally. "do you think we should find rosamund? i mean, she doesn't know us and she thinks i'm some weird kid, but we shouldn't leave her on her own right?" after finding ros with that other dead person, she was worried that death was lingering a little too close to the people she cared about, and with ros not knowing them, it made it even harder to be sure that she was safe. "is that what you had said?"
