Ooh another bone hunter! I love your posts, great pictures and information too :D do you have any good tips, especially for finding the smaller animals? I find a whole lot of deer bones but finding anything else is super rare but that could be because I'm always looking in the woods. You can find my bone collection/carvings under lifebender on tumblr (doesn't let me put URLs in asks- dumb!)
Sorry if I replied so late! It didn't tell me I received a message. Thanks :) Finding small animals is pretty difficult. I tend to hunt for small bones in an area of my neighborhood with lots of cat activity, like in front of the cat man's house. Areas that are around humans but off to the side are great (If they are too close they tend to be picked up before they have a chance to be found). I tend to carry around a stick and stir the leaf litter. Chances are if it's small and already decayed leaf litter has already fallen over it. It is pretty difficult still, unless you know for a fact that things die there (like this dumping ground I discovered)! I really wish I had some woods to look in, because I mainly find doves, rats, and possums in my area. So basically I just get lucky, I don't really have many tips for it :o Sorry.
And hey, if any of you followers are interested in the bone side of things check out lifebender! :)
