The future of Xynthi
I'm curious to know how many people out there have used Xynthi, my sort-of Synthi A software. It needs an update to work on current OS X versions, and I would like to add a full (or reasonably rich) TouchOsc interface to make it more performable. If there's even a bit of demand for this software, I'd like to raise some money for the time it would take to do all of this (which is not insignificant, not to mention the time it took to create it in the first place). The software would still be available for free, once complete, and I would do a more formal beta launch with bug testing and feature requests. Also: documentation. Xynthi is a bit different than other software versions of the Synthi, in that it is a pretty irreverent version that focuses more on allowing ridiculous routing and bizarre distortions than on emulating the original unit. It does, however, have a rich, analog-y filter and sweet delay / reverb. You can get olde timey synth sounds, but you can also make it do weird, chaotic things that are a little bit harder to route on the original.
P.S. If you are running a Mac with an OS prior to Mountain Lion, you can try the current (original) version
