Some of my thoughts and questions regarding this:
- XXL3 will work on Windows 7, right? Because it’s, like, the only modern OS I’m comfortable with... - Some other sites point out that XXL3 will have an original story. This must mean that the game won’t be based on any specific comics or cartoons, neither were the previous two games. - They made comic-style designs for the MCs in the XXL2 remaster. If XXL3 is going to be faithful to the comics, I assume those designs will be used there. - It would be really nice if XXL3 got more graphic settings to make it more stable on older/weaker PCs, because the XXL2 remaster has only one setting that changes quality, I set it to Low and the game still lags and occasionally freezes (I got this computer for my 10th birthday and it was pretty good for its time, but now I’m 21... Time flies, doesn’t it?). Also, if I set resolution to anything lower than my screen’s and the game is in fullscreen mode, the picture trembles and I have no idea why. - Will Sam Shieffer return? He had most importance in XXL2 and it would be unfair to discard him... If he comes back, will he have the same voice actors as in XXL1 and XXL2 (I mostly hope for the English VA)?.. Also, one interesting detail: Asterix and Sam don’t recognize each other in XXL2 in the first cinematic, and Sam tells his name in XXL2 and not in XXL1. Could it be that XXL2 is NOT a sequel to XXL1, and the events of XXL1 and XXL2 happened in two different timelines?.. In any case, me and especially a friend of mine would be happy to see him again. Anyone else? - Can we have... chubby legionaries? Legionaries as short as Asterix? - This may be sudden, but... what if the MCs could swim underwater? Stuff could be hidden there... I always found it a bit odd that you couldn’t drown in XXL1 and XXL2, but if the computer-controlled MC threw a Roman into water the Roman would instantly die. - Will multiplayer be available on PC? Is it like two people using the same keyboard? I had an old game like that but it used only 3 buttons per player, this would be more difficult to configure. Let’s assume that the controls will be the same as in XXL2: one player has 4 buttons for running, 1 button for jumping, 2 buttons for attacking and 1 button for grabbing, and there’s 1 button for sending Dogmatix to bite Romans in the butt. 8-9 buttons per player.
