@xxiphin well the very first time i saw dabi i thought they were beauty marks. and then the dabi todoroki theory came along at some point and my first thought was that he had three beauty marks because he was the third son. and somehow genetics were like, three marks for the third son! but the more i thought about it, and then saw that they are the same colour as his staples, so them probably being piercings, them symbolizing his three siblings kind of makes more sense.
