She spit out sea water after being smacked in the face by a wave. It had to be a sign, between this and the sunburn and peeling skin, to get out of the water. She did, mournfully, slipping her feet in her plastic flip flops and scuttling down one of the beach paths.
For once the large straw hammock wasn’t taken up by another shoobie. She laid down on it, looking up at the piercing bright sun before closing her eyes. She rocked the hammock back and forth with her foot.
