Life on Earth drastically changed when Eve created her children, the supernatural âmonstersâ, humanâs would take to calling them. They were big, bad, and strong. Much stronger than the humans who looked mere and little in comparison. Luckily, things started balancing out in the humanâs favor with the introduction of the Slayer; the Mother of all Hunters to come after her. Gabriel was around to see it all happen, God soon disappearing afterward. He saw the fall of his brother, Lucifer, before, and the rise of his brother Michael in Heaven as a response. The humans fighting their own evil on the ground âbelowâ gave him hope for their prolonged existence. Perhaps Eve and her children wouldnât âwinâ the Earth after allâŚ
Fast forward quite a long time and life for Gabriel was quite different from how it used to be. Heaven was, well, Heaven; things just continued into a downhill spiral after the original family of 5 broke up. Luci was in the cage, Michael was, well, who even knows what he was doing now, but dad bootlegged it outa town the first chance he got! Gabriel did the same. He went into hiding, not wanting to be a part of (let alone help in any way possible) the future fight between his two eldest brothers. He would have no part in it, nor would he support either side. Thus, came his disguise!
Gabriel presented himself as the deity âLokiâ, taking the Trickster title and becoming his part, even creating himself a nice little vessel to live and work in. Or rather, play in. He did truly love his âjobâ, and his vessel was fine enough. Of course, his True Vessel was out there, somewhere, but he didnât want to bother whoever they were. A part of him didnât even want to know who they were. They had a life going for them and, having immersed himself with humans for a long ass time now, he knew in his heart that his vessel deserved to live their life how they wanted. They didnât need, and probably wouldnât even want to give themselves over to him. His created vessel was fine enough!
Of course, sometimes the universe had other plans.
The True Vessel of an angel, especially an Archangel, stood out to celestial eyes (although the latter only seen by other Archangels), more so when it was your own. Any person capable of being a vessel for an angel also stood out, but not nearly as much. That was how, despite not wanting to find her, or even ever bother her, Gabriel found the little Jayne Wells, newly born to her parents in 1987. She was breathtaking, and he was to be her Guardian Angel. That he could do, but take her life away for a more comfortable life for himself? He just couldnât.
He watched over her, made sure she was kept safe after her parentâs death and tried to help her have a good life. She even became the newest Slayer! She had a family; a new father and brothers by then, the Winchesters. She could protect herself. That didnât stop her Guardian Angel from, well, guarding her, of course! But, he could continue his Trickster duties more the older and more capable she became.
But, one bad huntâŚ.
Gabriel tried to steer the Winchesters as much as he could, and so, why not meet Jayne properly. Somewhat.
He walked down the street, nothing obvious about himself, clothes pretty neutral in color even. He walked right into Jayne's shoulder by âaccidentâ with a pretty big force, set on getting her attention.
âOh my god, Iâm so sorry! My headâs up my own ass, again. Make sense with whatâs all going on, huh?â He apologized, trying to laugh it off while hinting at a possible hunt for the siblings.
