“He is not here,” Smiler stated warily as Lyodae walked through their kitchen. He stood by the doorway, watching Lyodae move around through cabinets.

“I know,” Lyodae barked back, closing a cabinet door after setting a bottle of whiskey on the counter. He didn’t look back at the little cyborg as he grabbed a shot glass from another cabinet.

“Then you also should not be here.” 

Both paused, Smiler tilted his head, Lyodae stared at him.

“You would then have much in common, by both not being here.”

“That’s-- fuck off. Why are you here? Aren’t you a freeloader or something?”

“Perhaps.” 

Lyodae kept staring, met by the flickering light of Smiler’s mask’s battery dropping down another notch. Neither would budge.

“Great, well. Let’s wait together for him, hmm?”

“I would prefer not.”

“And I’d prefer you to fuck off, but here we are.” 

He took a shot.

“I remind you, you are the one trespassing... Drinking the club supplies.” 

“We both know this is personal.” Lyodae shook the half drank bottle.

“It always is between you two.”
