ok so she typically goes by chris bc she hates how pretentious christelle sounds

tbh if you don’t know she’s a princess, then you don’t know she’s a princess. she definitely doesn’t act like one at all. she wears mostly black, wears dark makeup and is more promiscuous than a grimaldi should be

she also kinda parties a lot which gets her in trouble with her family. think of how prince harry was seen as this big party boy for a while, well that’s chris with her family and tbh she ends up w drunk pics all the time and then her family has to cover it up bc it’s not how a princess should act

but she hates that there are constantly high expectations. she never felt like she could live up to them or be as perfect as her siblings were. like when she was younger she genuinely tried. she wanted to be the perfect princess, but it was hard and she never felt like she got the adoration as the rest of her family

so one day she just stopped trying. she was never very good at it anyways and tbh now she’s basically the black sheep of the family. they try to not talk about her in the press v much bc they want people to forget about the youngest (as of now) grimaldi

tbh they’ve threatened to make her move back to monaco several times, but they’re also like but if we can’t straighten her out, then her behaviors will be even closer to the crown than before which would look even worse for them

she is currently in line right after her sister for the throne and tbh it’s not something that she wants. she knows she’s not fit to be a queen and that she’d be terrible at it. so she’s okay with likely never getting it

okAY so i’ve been thinking this muse over for like 2 weeks now and i’m so excited to finally bring him to the rp. i’ll try to keep this shit short ok? ok.

andré picoli-truffaut was born on june 24, 1996 in paris, france

so he is a cancer, meaning he is the softest most emotional baby ever

identifies as pansexual, pretty out of the closet about it

he is the grandson of françois truffaut. if you’ve never heard of him, he was this big and famous director from the nouvelle vague movement in france. so andré belongs to a renowned family of the film industry and european artistic circles in general. however, his grandfather died 10 years before andre was born so he never met him.

his mom’s name is eva and he has an older sister named luna. his parents divorced when andré was still very young and pretty much abandoned him and his sister. so he was basically raised by his mother and his grandmother. these three women are the pillars of his life. hence why he only uses his maternal last name. 

andré has lived his whole life in paris, up until last year when he moved to new york city to study film at tisch. following up on the footsteps of his grandfather. so, bitch never heard of constance/st. jude’s, even though he attended the parisian version of it.

he is pretty new to the whole UES dynamic and most of the time he’s not interested in being a part of it. he’s too artsy to care tbh.

if he were a character from greek mythology, he’d be icarus. i sort of based his personality on the myth. and made andré be obsessed with icarus and all of greek mythology while at it. he probably likes to fancast people as gods/goddesses.

growing up in brooklyn proved easier for lucas garcia than his mother had anticipated. being a second generation venezuelan-american, lucas’s parents tried their best to make the boy get in touch with his latino roots but the boy absolutely loved the bustling city from a young age.

a proud nets fan from the moment he learned how to walk, wednesdays and thursdays for lucas were sacred nights at barclays’ with his father. lucas breathed in the culture of the neighborhood, and made brooklyn his home, and the garcias lived a simple yet happy life in the cramped brownstone apartment they rented.

education was something the family valued very much, and it was crystal clear to the garcias that if they wanted their son to have a chance of competing with the privileged, trust fund bred elite of the city, they needed to bestow upon him the greatest education they could afford. lucas wasn’t behind his parents expectations either, being top of his class and a hardworking student. when high school rolled around, it wasn’t very difficult for him to secure a spot and a scholarship in manhattan’s prestigious st. jude’s.

right around lucas’s sophmore year, tragedy struck. lucas’s father suffered a scathing heart attack and died on the spot. the boy was set to meet him, and lucas blames himself til this day on his tardiness, believing that if he had been minutes earlier, he could’ve saved his father.

it was right around that time that lucas began to lose control of his life. the boy who had been personable and serene quickly turned into a thrill seeker and became unrecognizable both to his mother and his friends. lucas fell into a self-destructive spiral, using various drugs and seeking the bottom of the bottle every night in order to numb himself.

it didn’t help that his father had died and left the garcias in a tough financial situation, where even lucas’s scholarship in st. jude’s was in jeopardy. almost being expelled from the school once, lucas wasn’t the legacy that the school simply looked the other way when he did something that could drag the name of the school into the dirt. there would be consequences.

around lucas’s final year in st. jude’s, his mother met another man. two years after his father’s passing. they were married not long after, and with the novelty of now having a stepfather, a number of things would change in his life, to lucas’s chagrin. the first one, he would have to say goodbye to his beloved neighborhood.

living in the upper east side proved to be everything that lucas despised. the vain conversations and useless splurging that he was accostumed to in st. jude’s were now everywhere in his life. they replaced the brownstone apartment with luxurious lofts that were located straight across central park. instead of going to totonno’s for a slice of pizza, he was now confronted with fancy dinners at momofuku. but if you can’t beat the people you’ve made fun of your whole life, you become one of them.

his self-destruction journey continued on, erasing his previous personality completely, until when, at twenty four, an event changed his life. ( this goes into his secret, so i won’t disclose it unless ! if we plot smth that has relevance to it ). after a year of being away from the spotlight, lucas came back, journalism degree in hand and completely changed.

gone were the days of toxic behavior, and the old lucas garcia was back. a competent writer who is able to speak on polemic issues with astuteness and sensibility, it wasn’t long before lucas was noticed by the times. managing to snag a spot as a culture reporter, lucas’ ability to breathe in the city came in hand.

personality-wise, he’s very approachable. owner of dry humor and a cynical point of view, he’s smarter than people give him credit for. he doesn’t like to talk about his disappearance, but it changed him fundamentally. now, he has trouble sleeping, which explains why he’s so keen on slipping away in the middle of the night. before, lucas was unable to connect in a romantic way with anyone, but those days are far gone. it’s almost like time hasn’t passed, and the sensible, kind boy is back. but the closest to him wonder if it’s to stay.

she was one of those girls in hs that basically survived on attention and people adoring her so she was on the cheer team, dance team, and student council. she very much likes to be in charge of things and make things go how she wants them to

unlike some of her siblings she didn’t go crazy from the pressure of the van buren name and didn’t fall victim to the drugs and alcohol that surrounded her at all times. she would have an occasional drink at parties to keep up appearances but nothing beyond that.

she was never a fan of raging parties with blackouts from drugs or drinks and just went to maintain her reputation of course 

following in her mother’s footsteps viv here decided to go into modeling from a young age to get her even more attention. it started in clothing magazines then graduated into runways and such

she idolizes her mother very much and really wanted to make her proud by being the best she could be and maintaining the female van buren name

but the offers for runways and magazines stopped soon into her college career which made her bitter and resentful towards those friends she had in the industry

she’s decently smart, graduated from columbia with a business degree in the hopes of starting her own clothing line or something since her modeling career was basically finished

soon she discovered the world of producing cosmetics and is now working on launching her own cosmetics line

she’s a very 2 faced person when it comes down to it. of course for the public eye she’s one of the elegant, poised van buren daughters and will play nice with whoever she needs to but behind closed doors she can be an ice cold bitch if she doesn’t like you. she’s not afraid to let her opinions be heard about you

she’s engaged to niko but not for any romantic reasons. it is directly related to her secret which will be a secret for as long as possible (if ur interested in being part of it hmu BUT it must be a male character srry ladies)

BACKSTORY 

maximillian is the first born son of the st. perez family, named after his father ( maximillian st. perez II ) ... duh that’s how that works okay 

the st perez name is linked to two things -- status and philanthropy 

in addition to running multi million dollar companies ( both his parents being CEO of their separate endeavors ) they’re also linked with tons of charities and have a joint non profit benefiting wildlife in threatened ecosystems

i like to think of them like the clooneys. successful in their own right but turning right around to make larges donations and using their status-laden voices to speak out for causes they believed in

maximillian spent his childhood doing lots of traveling for his parents’ work and for their humanitarian efforts. he grew up very well cultured and it shows

he also demonstrated unusually high intelligence and recollection abilities, prattling off stats and financial terms his parents used around him as early as four years old 

that’s also around that time that his little brother was born. he was an ‘oopsie’ baby but maximillian just loved him twice as hard because he was just sweet that way. 

anyways so maxxie started going by maxxie because his name was too much of a mouthful for his lil bro and they were :’) inseparable

somewhere in his childhood, maxxie got tested for his atypical language / comprehension abilities and that’s where they found out he’s got an eidetic memory. 

they watched his iq grow exponentially and tbh,,, they were thrilled

what a better heir than someone who remembers every single fcking detail of every single thing? already at age 10 he practically could have been hired on lol

you get the idea -- anyways, he focused all his energies on learning stupid facts because for all his big brain, he’s incredibly socially awkward as many geniuses are. he didn’t have many friends besides his little brother and spent most of his time in their library reading and rereading all the books he could find.

the st. perez family has been based in the upper east side for a long ass time but do so much travel that it’s always like ‘oh i’m back from ____ insert country here but in two weeks i’ll be gone again’ so if your character is from literally anywhere? probably could have met maxxie.

it ain’t his secret but two years ago, his beloved baby brother od’ed at a party hosted by margot & carter. he was there when it happened and was in the ambulance ride over and essentially watched the person he loved most have a complete and total collapse. we’ll unpack that more over time but let’s just say it’s given maxxie a lot of trauma to deal with and a lot of rage he doesn’t know how to process

PERSONALITY AND PASSIONS

definitely socially awkward. think reid from criminal minds just missing cues with an inability to ‘read the room’. what he lacks in social graces, he supplies in absolutely useless facts.

a lot of ‘uh... so did you know that on average, 12 newborns are given to the wrong parents every day? messy huh!’ 

some of his favorite things are travel documentaries and true crime podcasts but basically anything where he can glean large quantities of information to occupy his ever restless mind 

i’d say about 95% of him is fragile, gullible and unsure. he wasn’t bullied but he definitely didn’t have a ton of friends throughout school. in fact a lot of the time, his younger brother was probably the one who got him his friend group bc i picture him as more the charming reckless party boy sort who would understand maxxie’s,,, awkwardness

brother would get invited to parties, he’d invite maxxie. they were inseparable and i’m mad at myself for that character point 

but that 5%? the 5% that isn’t soft and awkward and lovable? grudges. when maxxie feels something, he feels it passionately and without any chance of budging. the thing about an eidetic memory is that you remember literally everything. details you may want to suppress are conjured to mind without even wanting them.

essentially a living source of receipts -- boy could be gossip girl or at least the robin to her batman

MISC

would have graduated st. jude’s early but stayed around to help as like teacher’s aides and things. also kind of needed the social exposure

experiences nightmares hardcore, most of which center around reliving his brother’s OD

probably holds stupid records like 10th fastest person in the world to solve a rubiks’ cube or 5th to know the digits of pi

he’s got serious wanderlust and gets restless when he hasn’t traveled outside of new york for long stretches of time

has a fascination with the stars, space and black holes. he likes the idea of infinity and endlessness because he feels like his head is an endless abyss that stores information without filling

he’s breezing through college courses currently set to graduate early with a degree in psychology but plans to pursue grad school and a doctorate before potentially adding math or a language degree as well.

relationship wise, he’s definitely not an avid fan of dating. he’s just not good at it. flirting makes him squirm but he also craves companionship and is a bi prince so i mean i guess date him? love him? cherish him! 

that being said i do picture him having maybe one or two soft innocent relationships over the past 6 or so years so hmu. ( still a virgin though -- just food for thought )
